I work on memory and retrieval for language models — what a model should be shown, how little of it is enough, and how to measure the difference honestly.
A memory system for LLM conversations built on ACT-R, the cognitive architecture for human recall — then measured hard enough to find out that the cognitive science was not what made it work. Five findings, and the parts that contradicted my own design.
